If you could know what's happening deep inside your body from testing a single strand of hair, would you do it? Absolutely!
A few weeks ago I visited Dr. Richard Cordaro to get a hair analysis test in which a sample of a person's hair- typically from the back of the neck- is sent to a laboratory for measurement of its mineral content.
A hair mineral analysis test reveals your mineral deficiencies and heavy metal toxicity. But many people don't realize that it also provides a blueprint to increase your performance and improve energy. Here are my results:
Calcium/Magnesium ratio is lower than normal, which could indicate an inability to properly metabolize sugars and carbs. Common symptoms are late night cravings, midday fatigue and a constant need of caffeine, sugars and carbs (No more apples? You must be crazy!).
Sodium and Potassium levels are higher than normal to counterbalance the low calcium/magnesium levels. This is a sign of acute stress.
Chromium- a trace mineral- is low. This mineral is involved in fat, protein, and carbohydrate metabolism regulation.
Aluminum levels are higher than normal. Aluminum is commonly found on cookware, sugary drinks, teas and coffee. Aluminum accumulates and could cause disease in the brain, lungs, kidney and thyroid.
"Now what?" I immediately asked. Dr. Cordaro said I'm in pretty good health but with the help of calcium/magnesium supplements as well as trace mineral supplements I should see and feel a great improvement in my general health. He also said for me, as a fast oxidizer, to eat less fruits and nuts and to eat more vegetables, protein and healthy fats.
I highly recommend you book an appointment today!
